"Ember"
Ember is the culmination of alternative rock, with an uplifting and energetic tone. Bringing you positive music that makes you feel good, makes you think and excited for what life has in store.
Ember was formed in early 2005 by two former band mates, Jimmy Fry (vocals) and Dan Rose (drums) who had gone to the same church in high school. Shortly after, they added Richie Gibson (bass) a friend of the Jimmy’s family. Lastly, Adam Brooks (guitar) joined the group. He had attended high school with Dan and Jimmy thus, the band was complete. Each member had the same goal in mind for the band; to share the hope of Christ with those struggling through life. The group was blessed with a unique sound, rich in melodic guitar parts, strong bass lines, powerful drumbeats, and passionate vocals.
Ember's live show blends together real emotion through their lyrics, with energy from doing what they love. Although often compared to Switchfoot or Sanctus Real, Ember provides a rock style uniquely there own. Their dedication to hard work, and intense love for music, fuels Ember to continue to be used to reach people who may be searching.
The summer and fall of 2005 provided many shows for Ember to bring their music and message to an intrigued audience. In January of 2006 Ember was able to record their first demo. The band chose three of their most powerful songs to debut on the album. Each song showcasing the bands talent, originality and enthusiasm for rock. Still in the process of writing new music, Ember continues to put all they have into each song. Taking life experience, the joy and the pain of everyday life, and turning it into a song that each individual feels their soul has been singing, and only now has found the tune.
Last spring, Ember was chosen one of the sixty-six bands to perform live in the Christian Artist Talent Search (C.A.T.S.) on the Inspiration Network. In the summer of 2006, Ember began working with a new producer who challenged them to go beyond their expectations. The result was an edgier version of an older song, and the beginning of several new songs. As they continue to work with this producer, Ember hopes to have a full length CD done in the near future.
Ember’s passion is for people, and the music that they hope to reach those people with. Ember’s mission is to be a light to this lost world by reflecting God’s love, and the hope He offers through his Son. If it wasn’t for Christ’s death and resurrection at the cross, there would be no reason to do what they do, or say what they say. Ember’s goal is to tell other’s what Jimmy, Dan, Adam and Richie have already discovered; that Christ died for their sins and came to give them life more abundant and free.
Ember is already on the road to accomplishing great things. With their first demo, fresh music, and an eager audience waiting, Ember hits the ground running with no stop in sight. Blessed by the support of their fans, and the only One that matters, Ember ignites their way through a new stream of shows. Hoping to shine bright, that all the world may see.
