"Let the bones which You have broken rejoice."

I'm on a journey to seek the face of God and His truth and know who I really am. I expect this to be painful because I expect to crucify my flesh daily. I expect it to be full of awe and amazing. I expect it to bring about irrevocable changes in me.

I've counted the cost and in the end, it costs me nothing. For my family and friends, I'm concerned for you. This process of peeling away layers of lies and finding the person God created me to be may bring to light things you never knew about me. It may confirm suspicions you've had. It may shock or disappoint or even hurt you.

This journey is essential for all of us, but rarely do people embark on it. It's better to remain ignorant of who we are and let the character God wants to develop in us lay dormant beneath platitudes and attitudes and affectations. This myspace site is going to be my chronicle, my log, of this journey. I believe that God will use this to bring others to Him.

It's a hard thing for me to be open about everything because I am so intensely private. I will strive to be transparent. I will be who I am and I will not posture or pretend or suppose to be something I'm not. I cannot seek the face of God if I do not seek Him as myself.

In closing, I encourage my family and friends to consider long before deciding if they want to follow this journey. It's not for my sake, but yours. What you feel about me when it's over will be inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, how I disappoint you as I reveal myself will not matter. God comes first and He desires truth in the innermost being.

Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,
And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.
Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness,
Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.
Hide Your face from my sins
And blot out all my iniquities.
