We give ourselves to God to do with as He sees fit. We tell Him, "Mold me for Your purposes, Your will." Then we complain because the molding is painful, unpleasant, uncomfortable. Be ready , change is not always easy. It is usually at best uncomfortable. Are we giving God reign in our lives or not? we know we are not where we should be. We need to understand the path from where we are to where we need to be is hard, uphill at times, lonely at times. But God does not put us through unnecessary trials. As a matter of fact sometimes we make them longer than necessary by not responding properly. Prov 12:1 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. Prov 13:18 Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honored. Prov 3:11-12 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor detest His correction: For whom the Lord loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom He delights.

Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance...Matt 3:8 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire....Matt 3:10 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.....Matt 3:11a I am excited, next Sunday 4 of my children are getting water baptized. I know God has good things in store and am excited to see what they are!! The kids are 18, 17, 15, and 14. God is so faithful, even when we are fretting about our burdens, he is busy handling them. Someday soon I hope I will get this and stop spending useless time worrying when there is nothing I can do anyway. I just need to make my prayers and suppplications known to Him and He will take care of it. In His time, not mine!!

God is so amazing! My family has been going thru a difficult situation for a couple of months now.Actually since the end of July when we started an outreach in our town. Every week something else happened. It felt like we were being attacked. I did not know if it was a trial, a test, or what. It all came to a head Monday night and my whole family was really hurt, especially one of my daughters. We prayed and fasted for two weeks and asked God for His truth to shine thru the situation because it did not make sense. I thought my daughter would take a long time to heal, really that all of us would. We were praying but had no peace and no answers. God came thru in the most amazing way and answered most of our questions thru a strange series of events last night. Suddenly we understood what had happened and why. He healed my daughters heart and gave us peace and we understand now so much of what happened. I can't believe He moved so quickly, but we put our trust in Him and He came thru and shed light like only He can. Thank you so much Father for answering our prayers and revealing the truth to us so we could really begin to heal. We learned patience and trust. And no matter what a situation looks like, God is always moving in the background where we cannot see. Prayer..............MUCH prayer was the answer, and waiting on God for the answer while doing what we knew was right. Especially not holding on to unforgiveness and bitterness even when you have a right. Actually, we never have a right, no matter how someone hurts us. We receive the same forgiveness that Christ gives us. I want and need His forgiveness every day and will not hold it back from someone who hurts me. Thank you Father!

Hi, I'm back. What a weekend. I left Saturday morning to attend my Uncles' funeral. I then drove my other Uncle home 2 and a half hours away. I took my three girls with me and we stayed until Tuesday morning. The weekend was kind of ruined by some news we got Monday morning. We were actually waiting for the news all weekend. It wan not what we expected and was devastating to my middle daughter. I know our trust needs to be in God. It is hard when you have to trust people and their wills are involved and they let you down and you just have to accept it. God is the ONLY faithful one. Even your best friends can let you down because they are not perfect. Now we are picking up the pieces of broken promises and asking God to rebuild. It looks impossible right now but, God can start over and rebuild our lives better than ever. It looks like we will be in the valley forever, but I know God will put us back on the mountain and restore our joy. And meanwhile we are taking valuable lessons away from this. Asking God to show us what we all need to learn, because our whole family was affected by broken promises. We will turn to God fully because He knows everything, more than we do that is for sure. He sees our tears and will restore all things. I can see that it could have been alot worse andI thank God for that. We need His healing in our family so bitterness and unforgiveness do not get a foothold. We only want God's will in our lives. We don't want second best. He has a wonderful plan for my childrens' lives and I know that......So....I'll praise You in this storm, cus You are who You are no matter where I am..and every tear I've cried, You hold in Your hand...............and as the thunder rolls, I lift my hands and praise the God who gives, and takes away.

Jere 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the Lord came to me saying: "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?", says the Lord. "Look as the clay is in the potters hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel! The instant I speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from it's evil, I well relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it. "And the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a Kingdom,to build and to plant it,if it does evil in My sight so that it does not obey My voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it. Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the Lord: "Behold, I am fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against you. Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good" And they said, "That is hopeless! So we will walk according to our own plans and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart.".............God gives us room to repent. Sometimes we can ruin something good in our lives by compromising and falling into sin. The longer we fight God, the more damage we do The longer we hide from God the harder our heart becomes and the easier it is to reject the conviction. God, we need Your grace and mercy. Be merciful to us in that we are unable to resist Your conviction in our lives. Show us Your grace by not giving us peace until we fully repent. Keep us in the fire until what needs to be burned of is completely burned off.

Best friends, like in high school..grade school. When you make a friend, a "best" friend, you always want to be together. When you aren't together you are always thinking of that person. When something is funny, sad, you immediately want to share it with that person. You can be together all the time and talk or not talk...it doesn't matter. You never get sick of each other. Not like family, you are sometimes together because you have to be. If you could choose who you wanted to spend a day with, it would not necessarily be your siblings. Maybe, but alot of families are not that close. It is ideal in marriage that your husband/wife be your best friend. But, can/should we have that close of a relationship with Jesus. He isn't just God ..up there somewhere watching to catch us being bad. He wants to be our best friend, closest, the one we go to first. Exodus 33:11 So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. 2 Chronicles 20:7 Are you not our God. Who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel and gave it to the descendants of Your friend Abraham. In Exodus the word friend means An associate(more or less close) brother, companion, fellow, friend, husband, lover, neighbor. In 2 Chron it means To have affection for sexual or otherwise. God loves us and actually wants to be involved in our lives on a daily basis. I recently lost a good friend and really realized again that I need to be closer to God than anyone else. I am working at making him my best friend again.

I thought I would write every day, but it is harder than I thought. Yesterday I took my middle daughter and went with my mom and sister to visit my uncle. He became ill a few weeks ago with a kidney infection. After they admitted him he mentioned he had been having dizzy spells, so they did an MRI just to be safe and found a large brain tumor. They removed half and within a week it had grown back and was larger. They planned Chemo, but it is too late. We went yesterday to say goodbye. Thursday they gave him 24 hrs to 1 wk to live. They are trying to bring him home today, he wants to be home. He is a wonderful man. 75 years old and lived a full life. It is hard to say goodbye. He was a wonderful father and husband and grandfather. After the visit we traveled to Rochester, to tell his brother. That was very difficult also. Gods' grace kept us tho. We were able to pray with our cousins and for my Uncles. Saying goodbye isn't the end. It is hard for us, but for them it is only the beginning. What we are longing for he is about to experience. Eternity in Gods' presence.
