Mama's Trip Away

A few months ago my husband John told me he had to attend a work
conference in Florida and he asked me to join him. Hmmm, let me think
... sunny Florida, a hotel room to write in, together time, alone time.
It sounded great to me.
We
got here on Sunday after a long day of flying. Monday John and I went
to Epcot. I had Red Bean Ice Cream and Crème Brule in France ... who
can beat that? We had to admit, though, that we missed the kids. It's
so fun seeing them having fun. Still ... we had a great time!
Yesterday
I worked in the hotel room. I wrote 16 pages ... which is great! Okay,
I also have to admit that I lounged by the pool for a while. It was
super sunny here yesterday during the day, but then there were
thunderstorms in the afternoon. It cleared up just in time for John and
I to go to the pool around 10:00 p.m. The water was still warm--warmed
than the lakes in Montana get all summer!
The crazy thing is
that my kids called and told me it was SNOWING in Montana. It snowed 1
1/2 inches and stuck!!! I felt so bad for them!!! I tried not to let
them know that I was already getting a tan. Whoops.
