some of you know what is going on but others of you do not so i wiil fill you in then tell you our prayer need.

Many of you have been praying with me and darren for close to 5 years now for kaity, my bonus daughter. her mother does not feed her well and just keeps gaining weight and gaining and gaining. well this year we went for a walk and she started having ALL hte signs of a heart attack--chest pains, shortness of breath, tingling left arm, dizziness. so i got her home and monitored her. she stabilized after about 30 minutes. i called the doctor and got her seen. she is clinically obese at 115 pounds and the doctor sent her for blood work. her cholesterol is 206 (the healthy range is 125-170), her triglycerides are 132 (the healthy range is 33-115), and her thyroid is 12.83 (the healthy range is 0.50-4.30). she had an appointment with the specialist for her thyroid on the 17th, but her mother won't give us her primary care doctor's name, won't give us her insurance info, and denies there is anything wrong with her and said "she's just a big girl going through a hard time right now" and that darren "has no right to take her to the doctor" because she is HER child. she came and got her 2 weeks ago and now will not even let darren talk to them on the phone!!!!

now for the prayer:

i got the doctor here to write a letter explaing the seriousness of her condition. we are going to polk county on friday to file for modification of custody(which is long and drawn out but will give us permanent residential custody) and emergency violation of custody order (so we can get them for the weekend) and emergency temporary custody (so we can keep her and get her to the doctor until the drawn out case has a final judgement). Kaity's health & life is at serious risk and her mother refuses to admit to the problem and is hindering us from getting her the help she needs. Please pray for God to go ahead of us and move things in our favor to help save kaity's life!!!
