McCanns to leave Portugal for UK

Gerry McCann was formally declared a suspect on Friday night The parents of missing Madeleine McCann will leave Portugal for the UK on Sunday morning. Kate McCann's parents have told the BBC that she and husband Gerry are preparing to fly back to Britain. In newspaper interviews, the couple have accused the Portuguese police of trying to frame them after they were named as formal suspects or "arguidos". The four-year-old disappeared from the family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in Portugal's Algarve on 3 May. 'Incredibly frightening' During an 11-hour interview, detectives suggested to Mrs McCann, 39, that traces of Madeleine's blood were found in the family's hire car. The family say this is impossible as they did not rent the vehicle until 25 days after Madeleine disappeared. Mrs McCann told the Sunday Mirror that during the interview, Portuguese police put her under pressure to confess that she killed her daughter by accident. She said that police "want me to lie - I'm being framed". Kate McCann was questioned for 11 hours on Thursday Speaking on Friday, before she was made an arguida, she added: "Police don't want a murder in Portugal and all the publicity about them not having paedophile laws here, so they're blaming us." Her husband Gerry, also 39, told the News of the World that Portuguese officers were looking for a quick end to the case and were exploiting apparent discrepancies in the couple's account of what happened. He said: "In a system that you don't know and don't really trust it's incredibly frightening." Mrs McCann's parents said that the couple were returning to the UK "with the full agreement of the Portuguese authorities and police". No bail conditions, travel restrictions or charges have been imposed on the couple, who had been questioned separately for more than 24 hours. Mr McCann was officially given "arguido" status 12 hours after his wife.

This family were staying in Portugal on family holiday, when Gerry and Kate McCann's daughter was kidnapped. Please pray for the safe return of Madeline McCann, who is only 4 years old.

i am struggling with a career choice... i have been working on starting my own business since the beginning of the year and have recently hit a 'snag' that could prevent this from happening. i have been working on my own for the entire time to be able to devote the attention and time to the work needed to plan this business. however, we (my business partner and i) are looking at a possible plan b and i am looking potentially at plan c. I have a passion for working as a college strength coach but my wife and i have geographically limited ourselves (career suicide in that industry) and there is not much available here in the midwest. there are opportunities elsewhere but we returned to iowa from a tough move and stay in texas where i just finished my master's degree. it took its toll and we don't know if we could go through that again.

i have always struggled with 'knowing' God's will for me. i can always come up with the 'what if's', 'but's' and every other possibility that He could be saying to me. i fear making mistakes. i know what i want to do for a career and have a supportive wife. however, financial struggles, the delay in starting the business, difficulty in getting things going on my own to provide in the meantime, possibly moving again, how far, timing, opportunity, stay the course, trust, have faith...

i ask that you would throw up some prayers for us as we try to trust that God will show us the way He has prepared for us... and any advice, help, info, etc. would be appreciated. we need $$$ for the business to work, the right opportunity at a college/university to open up soon, or for me to find clients/athletes to work with here in the meantime while this all gets figured out... in His time! comments are welcome and appreciated
