OK, the last 2 entry's was a setup for today's List-a-Roonie...Top 3 songs related to delivering mail
1) Step by Step...Rich Mullins. Every day that's all we do...step by step by step by step.
2) Walk by Faith...Jeremy Camp When you first start at this job they put you in real bad neighborhoods. You really learn to Walk by Faith...that you won't get shot!
3) Signed, Sealed, Delivered...Ken Tamplin. Ken covered this classic Stevie Wonder hit on his classic 1993 self-titled album.
Hey, let's add "Walk On" by U2 for a bonus cut.
OK, time for the JOTB:
A young theologian named Fiddle
Refused to accept his degree.
He said, "It's bad enough being Fiddle,
Without being Fiddle, D.D."
That's another feature, a thought to ponder from "Our Daily Bread"
God's grace accepted is God's peace experienced.
OK, let's add a picture of Jeremy Camp from a few years ago after a concert, since he made my mailman list. Check out the pipes on this dude! He was such a great guy...he stuck around after the concert until he met everyone.

It's a good thing I like animals, because I run into tons of dogs and cats. Here is a picture of my favorite cat Chico, who jumps in my truck looking for treats every day.

In honor of the new movie about UFO's, "Unidentified", which stars Rebecca St. James, I have come up with another one of :
JIM'S List-O-Roonies...(not to be confused with Chris Well's List-O-Rama)
Today's list deals with the top 3 Christian songs that have to do topics that may have to do with UFO's
1) Take Me To Your Leader...The Newsboys
2) Spaceman...Believable Picnic. This is one of the great songs from this band that didn't last long.
3) Stars...Switchfoot
Another thing I'm going to try in my blogs is a joke of the blog feature, to be called JOTB for short. These are one's I might have read or heard somewhere that are kind of fun to pass on.
Today's JOTB...Did you hear about the lousy fortune-teller? He's not making much of a prophet.

I saw these 2 cats checking out the new Kutless CD at the music store. Hope they had enough money with them to pick it up, it's such a great disk!

It was awesome to see Leeland on the cover of CCM with Smitty!
What a great year Leeland has had...co-writer with Smitty...fantastic debut CD...and most impressive...managing the Tigers to the World Series. What did you say? Oh, that was Jim LEYLAND...never mind.

Got a request to do a Stryper top 5 list. Sounds fun, but all I have time for now is a picture from 1985 to hold you over! The concert is from Chicago that a friend took. I forgot where the autogragh session was. Will do the list next blog!

Here is my Stryper list...
Top albums:
1) To Hell With the Devil (1986) One great song after another. One of my top 10 albums of all time. CCM had it 88th.
2) Against the Law (1990) Controversy surrounded this for lyrics, but listening now it's better than most "Christian" albums in that regard. Musically, it's unbelievable!
3)Soldiers Under Command (1985) Breakthrough album.
4) In God We Trust. (1998)
5) Reborn (2005) Good comeback!
Top Songs:
1) I'm Always There For You
2) More Than a Man
3) Makes Me Wanna Sing
4) To Hell With The Devil
5) Not That Kind Of Guy
Hard to leave off beautful balleds like Honestly, but I will stick with the rockers. I could go on and on. Their 20th song would be better than most other top 5 songs.
Back to Michael W. Smith. Just heard his title cut, Stand, on his web site. I could swear the worship team at my church has been playing this one for a while. It's a great song...wonder if the new CD will be praise and worship?

I'm excited to be seeing Smitty in concert near Buffalo on November 4th. It will be a few days before his new CD "Stand" comes out, so I hope to hear some sneak previews. Smitty is my lovely wife Sue's favorte artist, and will be her first time seeing him. She is really looking forword to it.
I thought for fun, in honor of Chris Well, to start putting lists of my favorite things in relation to Christian music in my blogs. I always love his lists in the magazine.
My first artist will be Smitty, but I will do anyone that has at least 4 CD's to their credit. If you have a group you would like me to do...I'll try. What I'll be doing is listing my top 5 CD's, and top 5 songs from the artist. I'll also tackle top songs of all time, from this week, etc. If I have pictures from seeing them I will add that as well.
Smitty is a tough one since he has a million great songs and albums...but this is my list.
Top CD's:
1) Change Your World (1992) Not overly spiritual, but a pop masterpiece. CCM has it their 45th best album of all time in the top 100 book from 2001. A great concert video came out of this too.
2) Worship (2001) Of all the worship albums this decade, this could be the most annointed. I never tire of it.
3) The Big Picture (1986) Another pop masterpiece. This cemented Smitty as a fixture in Christian music. CCM has this one 21st.
4) Go West, Young Man (1990) I like this more now than the year it came out. At the time I was slightly disappointed with it, but I listen to this more than any of his earlier stuff now.
5) The Live Set (1987) I'm a sucker for the energy of good live albums. This one, Petra, and U2 had the best ones in the 80's.
Now it gets really tough...how to pick 5 songs from his collection.
1) Friends...this wasn't tough. Isn't it on everybody's list of classics? CCM has it as their 3rd song of all time.
2) Place in This World...his big secular hit! Great video as well. CCM has it #22 all time.
3) Above All...worship at it's best.CCM has it #39
4) Picture Perfect...a great pop song. I always thought it could have had crossover appeal, but it didn't.
5) Secret Ambition...maybe the best Christian video of all time.
That should do it for this artist. I will give a full concert review after the show. Now I will look for a picture from 1988 concert to put on blog.
If you would like to give me your top Smitty songs, I would love your comments!

During last year's American Idol a friend told me about rocker Chris Daughtry singing with his band Absent Element before a Day of Fire concert. Click the title above and you will see the link to play 5 of his songs in full, like Agnus Dei and Heart of Worship. It's great to hear. This is the only picture I can find with Chris (along with Elliot and Katharine.)

This picture is for my new peep Chuck, who I noticed liked Geoff Moore. I saw him several times in concert, but this one was from the late 80's. They brought out his new baby, which he is holding. The cool part was after the concert in Houghton, New York, I had to head back to Rochester. I stopped to get gas, and there was Geoff, filling up as well!
By the way Chuck, I liked the music on your site.
