Congrats to Jordin for winning, and to Blake for being a class act throughout. I heard he whispered to Jordin just before the final decision, that if he won, he wanted Jordin to sing a duet with him.
Of course some of you might have missed the end if you TiVo'd it. I had it set on the VCR until 10:07, then I rewound it a watched it after church quickly. I still missed the final minute. The credits were rolling when my tape ended. A few people at work were really upset they didn't even see who won. Almost as bad as me losing power for the Super Bowl.:(
I can't believe I didn't check out www.jordinsparks.com before, but it has some neat pictures from the past. It doesn't look like she has done anything on the site since 2004. There are pictures of her with Randy and Simon backstage after the 2004 Idol's show, some when she appeared on America's Most Talented kids (Didn't know she was on that, and I watched it a lot!), some with Michael W. Smith and other big names. Cool stuff. (Later note..I just clicked on and it's all new stuff now..not sure if you can find the old pictures, so I'll post some in my photo section!)
Congrats to Randy for saying the a curly haired person was his pick to win after auditions. Most assumed it was Chris Sligh at the time, but he meant Jordin.
Loved the Beatles songs last night. The highlight was Melinda singing with BeBe and CeCe to me. As usual, Carrie was awesome! Kelly's new song sounded kind of bitter! That should scare of future boyfriends!
The winners of the first myccm Idol pool were Shannon for the regular season with 84 points, followed by Sue at 78, Jim, Mike and Amy with 74, Hanna with 65, Sharayah with 63, and Steve with 53. My sister was the only one to pick Jordin to win before the contest, so with the bonus points she is the overall winner, with Shannon second and me and Mike tied for third.
Next year I will shoot for about 20 people to play it right from the start. If I lose contact with anyone I will be contacting you next season! Thanks to all of you again.
I won't be bloging as much for a while..I might try to do one's of what I've been up to and prayer requests every week or two, so please check the site every once in a while. Also any more Idol news from this year's contestant's.

I've seen every finals show, and Jordin tonight was by far the best and most consistent on all 3 songs. If you watch the rewind and saw Kelly win, even she was really cracking in her voice with strain and nerves. My other favorite winner, Carrie, showed a lot of nerves as well. Jordin was flawless in my opinion. Randy always says not to try a Christina A. song, but she nailed it on the song "Fighter". Then she does my favorite song of the year, "A Broken Wing," (See my last blog for my top 12 songs of the year) and did even better than the first time. Then she takes a song that Blake had no chance on, and makes it sound like the best Idol single since "A Moment Like This" By the way, the co-writer of the song was long time Christian songwriter and performer Scott Krippayne. He has written hit songs for Avalon, Point of Grace, Rebecca St. James, Sandi Patty, among others, and now he can add Jordin Sparks to the list.
Blake picked another one of my faves from the year, "You Give Love a Bad Name", and was terrific. He just did a Maroon 5 song though, so I thought that choice of "She Will Be Loved" could have been better. He did pretty good with it though. The poor guy never had a chance with "This Is My Now." Like Bo Bice with "Inside your Heaven", it just wasn't his style. It's a joke that they make him release that song as a single..let him release one of the other 10 songs he did terrific on instead.
How 'bout Chris "The Man" Daughtry closing the show with "Home?!" Awesome! I see that song and "It's not Over" are both in the top 5 on the hot AC list. The Fray, another one of my new faves, has a couple of songs in top 20 now too, along with another band full of Christians, Lifehouse.
For my winner, I see Jordin singing "This Is My Now" with all the confetti and stuff at the end, crying her little heart out. Blake will be very happy that he doesn't have to sing it again, and be an extremely supportive runner-up!
Sue also picks Jordin to win. I think I said 15 points go to the winning pick in the contest. I'm sure a couple of you will pick Blake to try to catch up!
My comments on the final show probably won't come until Thursday night. I'm at Church Wednesday and will watch the end when I get home to see who wins, but not the whole 2 hour show until Thursday.
Thanks again to all of you for playing..hope we can all do it again next year and maybe find another 10 to give it a try!

Well, tonight is the big night of Blake vs. Jordin. Most of the experts are picking Jordin. I really like Blake, but I think Jordin would be a great American Idol. She had some interesting quotes today in USA Today.."I would like to do an album that reaches lots of different age groups. I love country, rock 'n' roll and pop, so I would love to do an album that relates to all of that. I can put it all together, and R & B, and just infuse everything." She also want to tell inspiring stories and stay clear of sex and drug references "unless it was like, 'Stay away from it.'"
Blake would do some electronic-pop that I don't think would sell as well. He might end up like Taylor Hicks, a great entertainer, but poor album seller. If Jordin gets the right producer I think she could be in the elite company of Carrie, Kelly, Clay and Daughtry.
Last week I had my top 4 and top 3 of all time. Now how do I rank Blake/Jordin as a top 2? I would put them third behind Carrie/Bo and Rueben/Clay, and ahead of Kelly/Justin, Taylor/Katharine, and Fantasia/Diana.
What were your favorite performances of this year? If I had a dream CD of this year, it would include:
3 songs from Jordin..."Walk On', "Broken Wings" and "I (Who have Nothing)"
3 songs from Blake..."You give Love a Bad Name", "Time of the Season", and the Keane song "Somewhere Only we Know"
2 songs from Phil..."Blaze of Glory" and "I Need You" That song got panned but if he could record it, it would be awesome.
Melinda could probably justify 4 or 5 songs, but I HAVE to have "There Will Come a Day", the most Christian song ever done on Idol.
I woundn't mind the very first song that LaKisha sang..the Jennifer Hudson song who's song title escapes me right now.
Chris Sligh's Mute Math song "Typical", and "Wanna Be Loved", the DC Talk song, would probably round out the 12 song CD. I can't think of a memorable Chris Richardson song.
What was my favorite theme's? Probably Inspirational, Country, Bon Jovi and 60's English invasion.
Who was my favorite mentor? Well, you can't really say Bono, he didn't say that much that I could see. I will have to say Martina McBride. She did the song "Anyway", and I loved it the moment I heard it..and now it's rising up the Christian as well as the AC charts! Who was your favorite theme and mentor?
Well, this should give you enough to chew on until the show is over. I will have my thoughts on the show then.

Saturday was the Stellar Kart concert. I felt so bad because there was less then 100 people at the church. They really did a poor job advertising it. I'm sure the church lost money, which makes it more unlikely that future concerts will be held. The band had to have a harder time getting up for such a small gathering, but they did their best.
They opened with my favorite, "Activate", which is a really cool video if you ever seen it. Then they did the cover of Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer". I was thinking since they come from Arizona like Jordin from American Idol, if that's the reason she sang that song on Bon Jovi night? They then did "Student Driver", then their Dove Award winning song, "Me and Jesus". The other songs from the new disc they performed were "Procastinating", "Hold On', "Wishes and Dreams", and a request for "I Wanna Live", though they claimed they never sang it in concert before. It sounded pretty good if that was the case! They finished with "I'm Pretty Good". Overall I would give the concert a B+. The drummer Jordan is the most talented of the bunch. They tried joking around with each other between songs, but it came across kind of lame in my opinion. The songs were all tight though.
I was proud of my girls..after a song they took the cotton out of the ears and had a good time. When I went down to take pictures they came and were rockin' hard with the crowd. I now have no reservations on taking them to future shows. Even my wife, who's a little more into softer music, enjoyed it! A nice family outing.
We got to met the guys afterwards. I have a good group shots of me and the girls but I don't like posting pix of my girls online..so you will have to settle for this group shot below. If you want to see more shots of the concert, look in my photo section!

Well, a lot of people were shocked that Melinda got voted off in the media. She was the most gifted singer, but I wasn't too surprised. Below you will see a reprint of my blog from April 12th. I had Sanjaya wrong, but I nailed the others in perfect order. I've been saying ever since that Jordin was going to win..so what do I do this week..I pick Jordin to go! Dumb, Jim!
Watching the results show and how excited the hometown's of Blake and Jordin were, and how laid back Nashville was for Melinda, sums up why Melinda got voted off. She is by far the best singer this year, but my being so superb each week there was no excitement. Jordin and Blake were not perfect every week, but you never know what to expect. People were more inspired to vote for them. I know I loved Melinda, loved her witness, (did you catch the shirt last night..death cheater..had some words I couldn't read but a cross on bottom..obviously about Christ!) but never voted for her all year. I only voted for Phil, Sligh and Jordin all year.
Did anyone catch Jordin calling Randy "Randy Johnson" the other day? Surprised no one mentioned it anywhere. She must have been thinking of the Arizona pitcher.
I really dug Elliott last night..great new set of chicklets..and like the Josh Grobin lettuce. His voice is still silky smooth.
Anyway, props to Shannon and Steve for predicting Melinda would leave. They never really said who was second, so they get 10 points, and no one else scored..except the usual 1 point for everyone for playing.
I also just reprinted my last 2 blogs, one with my predictions before the top 12, and the other with all of your top 3 predictions. I can no factor in the bonus points..5 points for each of the top 3 made it, 10 points for each of the top 2 made it, and 20 points if you have the winner. Only Amy has a chance to pick up that bonus, as she had Jordin winning. A bunch had Blake second, but no one picked him to win. I'm going to have it worth 15 points to pick the winner next week..so here are the point totals to date.
Shannon..68 regular points..20 bonus points..88 total
Amy..58 points...25 bonus...83 total
Jim...58...20...78
Mike...58...20...78
Steve...52...20...72
Sue...62...didn't make predictions..my fault for not asking...62 total
Hanna...49...10...59
Sharayah..47...5...52
Jordan..40...5...45 Not as successful as the singer Jordin=)
Tanya...22...came in too late for predictions...22
I might "crown" a regular season champ, as well as an overall winner, to make the final weeks pick more meaningful.
OK...FOR A FUN LOOK BACK, THIS WAS MY BLOG FROM APRIL 12TH AND HOW I ALMOST NAILED THE TOP 7 IN ORDER.
Yippee..Haley finally got voted off. Even to the end she was always looking so mad when they suggested she was using her looks to get votes. Listen, just own up to it if it's the truth. Next week is Martina McBride, so expect a country theme. Could this be the week LaKisha is in trouble? Anyway, about 5 weeks ago everyone picked their top 3, and a lot had Gina and Sligh and are messed up already. I'm now going to give my order of how I think the rest of the season will go, in the order they get the boot.
7th place...Phil I think he is really happy to have survived this far. I like how he keeps saying he is blessed.
6th place....Chris. He's flirting with the bottom 3 too much.
5th place...Lakisha. Another one gets a raw deal from Sanjaya fans.
4th place ...Sanjaya..the journey ends...finally!
3rd place...Melinda...everyone will be shocked, but I won't be. What kind of album will she do? Classic R & B, Gospel?
2nd place....Blake. will be the closest final vote ever!
The winner of American Idol year 7 is...Jordin. She can really pull off any style, and has a great recording voice. She will only get better as she matures.
So who do you think will be the top 3, or 5? Is Melinda still the choice of the peeps to win it all?
Just about everyone except my sister had Haley leaving this week, and all had Phil in the bottom 3 too. Monika had all 3 correct, the first to do it this year, so she gets 12 points. First timer Glory had the top 3 too, but she gave me the picks after the show started on the east coast, so I can't count the points this time..ah, I'm in a good mood...I'll give her the points. This is all in fun anyway!
Here are the updated standings:
28 points..Jimbo
26 points...Mike
25 points...Sue
23 points...Shannon
21 points...Hanna
20 points...Steve and Amy
19 points...Jordin
17 points..Monika
15 points...Sharayah
12 points..Glory
5 points...Kristi

Here are everyone's top 3 picks from earlier so you know how I gave the bonus points! Props to my sister Amy for the best predictions!
Hi Idol fans...some more Christian related Idol news that I read on Mike Jenke's blog.
Michael W. Smith is urging everyone on his website to vote for Jordin, as she has toured with him on his last two Christmas tours. see details on his website at www.michaelwsmith.com
Phil Stacy is the minister of music at First Coast Christian church in Jacksonville, and is doing graduate work at Liberty University, where DC Talk went.
Chris Sligh's church, Seacoast Church in Greenville, S.C., is having weekly AI parties to cheer on and vote for their worship leader. You can see Chris and his band on youtube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ps3b_FTTCo (Hopefully that works, I'm famous for writing a wrong letter!)
Thanks to all of you who gave me your top 3 picks! Here they are all: (If you just became a peep you can still do this before tuesday's show!)
Hanna...1) Melinda 2) LaKisha, 3) Blake
Sharayah...1) Melinda 2) Sligh 3) Gina
Sarah...1) Melinda 2) Sligh 3) LaKisha
Jordan...1) Melinda 2) Sligh 3) Gina
Kristi...1) Melinda 2) LaKisha 3) Stephanie
Steve..1) Chris R. 2) Jordin 3) Melinda
Elizabeth..1) Melinda 2) Blake 3) Phil
Jim (me)..1) Melinda 2) Blake 3) Sligh
Shannon..1) Melinda 2) Blake 3) Lakisha
Mike..1)Melinda 2)Blake 3) Lakisha
Amy (my sis) 1) Jordin 2) Melinda 3) Blake
Danielle..1) Melinda 2) LaKisha 3) Phil
I noticed Entertainment weekly had the same 3 as me.
Mike's blog has 12 people in his contest, with 8 people picking Melinda, 3 for Blake, and one for Sligh. So it's obvious that Melinda is the huge pick this year!
For fun, I'm going to do a contest for my pickers, plus anyone else who wants to join in during the year. After Tuesday's show and before Wednesday's show by 7 P.M. eastern time, pick who you think will be the bottom 3 to get voted off, plus which one of the 3 will get the boot. Mike did this last year and this year and it's lots of fun. I will give you one point for just making your predictions that week, 2 points for each one of the 3 that are in the bottom 3, and 5 points if you correctly pick who will get the boot. If you miss a week, no biggie, just try again next week. I will keep running totals, than at the end of the year you will also get 5 points for each of the top 3 that you predicted makes the top 3, 10 points for each of the top 2 that makes it, and 20 points if you had the winner. Since most everyone picked Melinda that won't matter much unless Chris R. wins for Steve or Jordin for my sister.
Have fun!

For fun here is my picks for the top 12 before it happened. I didn't do too bad..I said Jordin had potential to be a top 3 at least! Chris Sligh and Gina were my worst picks to do well, Halet and Sanjaya were my worst picks to do poorly.
Hi everyone, I've been asking everyone to submit who they think will be the top 3 finishers on Idol. You can tell me who are your favorites, but for the survey I think I want your opinion on who will actually be the top 3. For example, my 3 favorite contestants are Chris Sligh, Phil, and Melinda, but that's not my prediction. Not only will I give you my top 3, here is how I break it down from this point on.
12th person eliminated....Haley
It's between her and Sanjaya, but I think he will get sympathy votes one more week.
11th gone...Sanjaya
Sorry, the journey finally ends buddy.
Now it gets tougher. If it's these 10 left they have the right 10 for the concert tour at least.
10th gone...Brandon
I can see him a little higher, but he really needs to step it up. He has the potential.
9th gone...Stephanie
This will be the year's first shocker. She actually has what it takes to win. My thought is with all the talented R & B female singers, their votes will cancel each other out and a few might go earlier than you might expect. It could be Jordin or LaKisha in this spot, but I think they have more of a fan base than Stephanie. It was about here that Mandisa got the undeserved ax last year.
8th gone...Phil
I love ya bro, but I don't think you'll be able to get much higher.
7th gone...Jordin
She could be a top 3, but see Stephanie for why she will go earlier.
6th gone...Chris Richardson
If he had just a LITTLE better voice, he could win, because he has everything else...looks, personality, great last name.
5th gone..Gina
My biggest surprise for going farther than you might think. She is the only true rocker left, so every rock lover will go with her.
4th gone...LaKisha
This was Chris Daughtry's unlucky spot last year..and like Chris, she might outsell everyone record wise.
3rd gone...Chris Sligh
If he keeps singing well his quirky personality should get him far. He did MuteMath and DC Talk, will he be able to squeeze in a Swithfoot song on a theme night?
2nd gone...Blake
Of everyone, he could be the most entertaining. But it's a risk picking him this high if he doesn't adapt well to theme nights.
Your winner of American Idol 2007..Melinda
I will have to go with talent, modesty, and a love for the Lord to win! If she gets booted earlier we might get a gospel record instead, which will be good for us!
OK, I would love to hear your top 3 picks before the show starts on Tuesday! Put them under comments here, or any other way you want!

Hope you all got to read the last blog with the standings and the rules for this week. I also forgot to say I would love to hear what YOU thought was the best "Final Fours" and stuff in your comments.
Saw the final 3 on Leno last night..the most interesting tidbit was that Jordin auditioned in L.A. and didn't get through to even see Simon and the gang. So she went to Seattle and the rest is history. Those judges might need to find a new line of work. Also, how do you think the people who beat Jordin in the youth GMA contest feel? They probably want to try out for Idol next year!
OK, the show is over and I was amazed..all 3 sang all 3 songs great. I will definitely say this is the strongest final 3 ever. Anyone of them would have won last year or season 3 easily. It was nasty of the country awards to have Carrie Underwood sing at 8:57..her song "Wasted" was ending as I turned over from Idol.
We are having thunderstorms so I want to get off the computer. I am predicting that Jordin will get the boot..I don't want her too..but that's my prediction. Blake will be the runner-up.
Sue says that Blake will be leaving and Melinda will be the runner-up.
This will be an interesting week of predictions..hope all of you can vote! Later..Jim

The show starts in a few hours and I never did run the whole standings!
61 points....Sue
57 points...Amy..Jim..Mike..Shannon
48 points...Hanna
46 points...Sharayah
41 points...Steve
39 points...Jordan
26 points...Kristi
22 points..Monika
21 points...Tanya
This week I will give people a chance to make up ground. I will give 10 points if you have the correct person getting the boot, and 5 points if you have the runner-up, but those 5 points you can only get if you have the boot pick right. So people will be getting either 10 or 15 points, but also a lot will get zero points..well, if you play you always get the 1 point for trying of course. This will give the people with point totals in the 40's a chance to gain ground if they go against the grain!
I thought it would be fun to rate the top 4 and top 3 from each season, then next week I will rate the top 2 and the winners.
Top 4 rankings:
1) Season 2....(Rueben Studdard...Clay Aiken...Kimberly Locke...Josh Gracin) Might not have been the best winner, but Clay ranks with Kelly, Daughtry and Carrie for all time contestants. Josh has carved out a decent Country career and Kimberly is the best of a weak third place finishers. Actually, whoever comes in third this year will surpass her.
2) Season 6..(Lakisha, and the rest of this year)
This may have been a weaker year from top 12, but the public got the top 4 right, which isn't always the case. (Though I would have liked to see Phil sneak in there.)Jordin may have a career that rivals Kelly. Blake may go through the roof as well. I see Melinda and LaKisha ending up doing well in the Gospel market down the road. By the way..just heard Mandisa on the radio..awesome!
3) Season 4..(Carrie..Bo Bice..Vonzell Solomon..Anthony Fedorov) Only because it was my favorite top 2..and Vonzell worked for the post office. Anthony may have been weakest top 4 ever. I thought Nadia Turner should have been top 4.
4) Season 1..(Kelly Clarkson, Justin Guarini, Nikki McKibbin, Tamyra Gray) Didn't watch the first year, but watched it on rewind this year. Kelly is a superstar and Tamyra should be. Was never big on the other 2. 5th place R.J. Helton had a nice Christian CD before sadly coming out of the closet.
5) Season 5..( Taylor Hicks, Kat McPhee, Elliot and Chris Daughtry) Entertaining final 4 for being different, but the order should have been reversed. Daughtry should have won but was better off not. Deep top 12 with Mandisa, Pickler and Bucky Covington doing well.
6) Season 3) (Fantasia, Diana DeGarmo, Jasmine Trias, LaToya London) I have to admit I only watched the last few shows that year, but didn't care for top 2 at all. Hindsight being 20/20, 7th place Jennifer Hudson should have been in top 4. 5th place George Huff has had a decent gospel career.
Top 3 rankings:
This year might be the best, followed by Carrie's bunch, Ruben's, Kelly's, Taylor's, then Fantasia's.
OK, will be back shortly with the show comments!

Got called in to work today so just have a moment...Lakisha leaving was not a surprise, everyone picked her. I decided to give 4 points if you had Blake 2nd and 2 points if you had Melinda in bottom 3 or Blake 3rd. Sue is now in the lead with 61 points, and Shannon, Amy, Mike and myself all have 57 points. I will give full standings later.
Just found out Hawk Nelson is coming before a baseball game July 1st! I'm excited for that!! Stellar Kart is also coming in a few weeks. Makes up for missing Relient K..they were in town and I didn't even know about it until it was sold out..shows you what kind of out of the loop fan I am.
Have a great week..I'm excited about my Buffalo Sabres in the final 4 teams left for the Stanley Cup...western New York NEEDS a winner!! Rochester is in the championship game in Lacrosse on Saturday too. I think I may start a weekly sports blog when Idol is over.

Tonight should be interesting,,,Bee Gee's were HUGE when I was in high school.
When you pick your bottom 3, number them 1..2..3, in case they only have a bottom 2 like last week. In a way it get's easier now..but it will be harder to gain points on anyone!
I'm not going to live blog..when everyone sings twice it's easier to give a summery blog. I'm just hoping Blake does "How Deep Is Your Love"..be back after the show...
Wow..what a tough night. I think Idol made a mistake having a Barry Gibb night...these songs are great but kind of tough for others to sing.
To me the only downloadable song was Jordin's first song,"To Love Somebody" I thought it had a bit of a country vibe. Like Phil, I think she could do a great country album. Her second song was just too tough to sing. Melinda was pretty good on both songs, but it took until the last 30 seconds of "How Deep is Your Love" before she excited me tonight. Lakisha didn't listen to Barry's advice on the first song, which is about the 4th time she has ignored the guest this year. Can't say I blamed her tonight...I don't think she could have gone into a falsesetto. To me, Blake was the most consistent, even though the judges didn't agree. "You Should Be Dancing" was the only song that really got into the disco vibe all night, which was the Bee Gee's bread and butter. I loved the beatboxing. Randy says he doesn't need to do it on every song, but he had gone about 5 weeks without doing it until last week. The second song was sung well also, it just wasn't a very catchy song. There was a reason why it wasn't a hit, I suppose.
I am going to go crazy with my bottom 3 tonight. I really think the 3 women will split votes and Blake will get the most this week. I say Lakisha will be voted off..and in a shocker, Melinda will be second, and Jordin third.
Sue is also picking Lakisha to go, with Blake second and Melinda third.
I think for this week I will give you 7 points if you predict the person voted off, and 3 for the other 2 picks.
Will talk to you all Thursday with the results and comments!

Hi folks...several people have asked to see the CCM cover with my name on it, since they don't subscribe..(shame on you!) So I will print it below.
Again, on my policy of reply's. My wife and I have been reading a lot about keeping hedges in your marriage. Even though I think we all agree, as well as Sue, that my reply's have all been pure, we have still thought it would be for the best that my personal reply's from now on will be to men and group's only. I have been spending too much time doing this, and need to spend more with my family first. When I do have time I will still leave comments on your blog's and profile page, where everyone can see them to keep me accountable. I will continue to keep everyone in prayer when I read about needs and requests. All are welcome to leave comments for me. I just feel the need to be accountable in all things. Myccm is a great tool, but that won't keep the enemy from trying to use it to divide if he can get away with it!
Thank you all for your understanding in this matter. I pray that my encouragement to several of you have made your walk with Christ a little richer.
My original desire with myccm would be to provide interesting blogs to other fans of Christian music. I thought by word of mouth, and with Chris Well giving me the privilege of blogger of the week, I would get lots of feedback. I wasn't expecting to meet so many interesting people! I have just gotten over my head in trying to keep up with all those peeps. I hope you will still check my blogs from time to time to see how I am doing, and I will do likewise.
God Bless you all!
Much Love in Christ...Jim

Sad to see Phil go last night..thought he was getting better with each passing week. Chris Sligh said in his blog that he thinks he will be a huge country star. I think he will put out a great CD..he really has a great voice. He could be offered a country, Christian, or a Pop record deal..will be interesting to see where he lands. How fitting to sing "I'm going out in a blaze of Glory!" Having the song Carrie did on Idol gives back for his tribute was nice too.
Chris Sligh had great things to say about Chris Richardson..said he's the nicest guy you could meet. I think he needs to be in a boy band..don't know if his voice could handle all the singing. Sligh says he's a great songwriter..will probably write with Blake and do projects with his best friend when the tour is over.
So we are down to 4..most people had Melinda, Blake and Lakisha in the final 3 when we made those predictions..Jordin is the surprise. I think the girls will now split vote's, and Blake will cruise to the finals. I say Lakisha goes next, then the key week will be the following week to see who survives the Melinda and Jordin sound-off..should be great theater!
For our contest, since they only announced the two voted off and not the third lowest total, I've decided to give double points (10) to those who picked Phil and Chris to leave, 4 points to those who had either one third, and of course 1 point for playing. I also added one point for those who played last week. Congrats to my sister Amy and Kristi, who returned after an absence, to have both right and pick up a big 21 points. Most got 15 or 11 points, and then there was buddy Steve, who went for broke to try to catch up and only got one point=) Hey Steve, the supper you and Rhonda brought over was terrific by the way!
Here are the standings..very close among the top 5!!
47 points...Jim, Sue (what a great wife..we think alike!)
45 points...Shannon, Amy, Mike
36 points...Sharayah, Hanna
27 points, Steve
26 points..Kristi
25 points...Jordan (missed out on some points this week)
22 points...Monika (likewise!)
21 points...Tanya
9 points...Elizabeth
Here is a recap of who people had to finish in top 3 when the contest started. I will have to go back and see how much points each was worth! Many still have all all 3 picks still alive...good job!
Hanna.........Melinda, Lakisha, Blake
Amy.........Jordin, Melinda, Blake (That could be the winner!)
Mike and Shannon......Melinda, Blake, Lakisha
the rest only have 1 or 2 still alive..
Steve...Chris R., Jordin, Melinda
Jim....Melinda, Blake, Chris S.
Sharayah...Melinda, Chris S., Gina
Kristi...Melinda, Lakisha, Stephanie (I forgot about her!)
Elizabeth...Melinda, Blake, Phil
other people made predictions, but have never played since, and of course the rest started after the contest had begun.
This has been fun, thanks to all who are playing! See ya next week. Oh, and for those who ramble with your comments..that's what I like!

Awesome night for me as I once met Jon Bon Jovi and the band at the record store when they first started out and they were as nice as can be.
I don't have much time tonight...bit if I were to rank the singers, I'd go Melinda..Phil...Blake...LaKisha...Jordin...Chris
Blake pulled it off with his beatbox version..Jordin sang my favorite Bon Jovi song..Livin' on a Prayer..so I'll forgive her for not nailing it. The tough part of picking the bottom 3 this week is they are combining votes from last week, so Blake's and LaKisha's weaker performances last week got canceled out tonight, and vice versa for Jordin. I think they got a lot more votes last week with Idol Gives Back..so with that in mind..my bottom 3 will be Chris..Lakisha...Phil. The two voted off will be Chris and Lakisha. This could be the hardest week to pick! Sue has the same 2 leaving with Blake as the third in botttom.
Since no points were given last week, everything will be doubled this week!
Got my CCM magazine in the mail with my name on it today...thanks Jay!
Unfortunately, I have been spending too much time on myccm these days. I love it but I need to spend that extra time with my family. I won't be doing much replying anymore..please don't feel offended! I started this Idol contest, so I definitely want to finish this off though. Please pick your bottom 3 as usual, and 2 to leave this week on the comment box. God Bless..Jim
