Enlighten Me

I'm extremely biased against today's CCM offerings.  I grew up on Leon Patillo, Phil Keaggy, Sweet Comfort Band, Maranatha, Dallas Holm, etc. in the late 70's and early 80's.

As far as I'm concerned everything from late 80's onward is superficial plastic nonsense (I'd like to say worse.) and it's all a complete, COMPLETE waste of time.

Can anyone say otherwise.  I'd like to hear....

have you listened to EVERYTHING from 80s onward? if not, then you can't honestly say it's ALL superficial. do you have anything against skillet, relient k, or flyleaf? which of their songs is superficial? people will always be opposed to change, including me, but sometimes it turns out to be not so bad when you think about it.

Dude, you're stuck in the stone ages, like, what my dad listened to. Just kidding. How can you say it's superficial. It's just as Christian as the 70's and 80's.

Is it possible that you just don’t like the way music has changed since the before the 80’s? I don’t like a lot of the music from earlier years, but I wouldn’t consider that music stupid or a waste of time. A lot of music produced today was based off of older music. It’s a little offensive to call all music from the late 80’s on up “superficial plastic nonsense” music is doing the same thing it did back in the day. The music is just presented in a different form.

Oh Gosh KUTLESS 4shore! um Lifehouse, Falling up[From the first album to the last], Casting Crowns, and KJ-52[Who I very much respect!]. Many Many More! I'm also a Huge fan of Indie Alternative christian artist/band! If u would like to know of some of these bands/artist hit me up. I'll keep u in the know. It's just so hard to list them all.
