demons
Posted by: Marquita Southall on October 26, 2007 at 9:45AM EST
i was at this place where there were a bunch of people. They were all sitting around tables, and the setting was dark. I looked at the people and there faces started to change next thing you know, they turn into demons. They started to fly at me and i beat them, and they left. There was still one man sitting there at the table he was very big. He got up and his whole entire body turned into something demonic. he had horns and his face was red. All of a sudden he started to come at me. I kept throwing things at him, but he broke them with one hand. He then grabbed me and I fell, on his shoes he had long, large nails under his feet. he pressed his foot on my chest i started to cry out to God, and I was calling on the name of Jesus. Then some people came in praising and crying out to God. the man(demon) was upset, he got scared and ran away. I got up and sat next to a lot of other people who were sitting in a row of chairs crying.

ok, with Halloween approaching, TV and just advertising in general is bombarding our thoughts with spooky, demonic symbols. And dreams largely use symbols to communicate either what we are feeling or what God is needing us to feel.

So you've got to decide if your dream is pizza and a movie, or if there is something significant that God is wanting you to take from it. Bottom line, is there any Godly direction or insight that you can take from it. If so, put it in the back of your mind until God tells you what to do with the information. Or toss it, if you don't feel God in it.

Dreams are highly symbolic and God often uses things in our life, right where we're at or that we are familiar with because it cause us to feel and interpret what he is saying better.

You need to pray and determine what God is saying to you, but here are some possibilities based on my understanding. But any one symbol can mean a million things. You need to sincerely pray if you really want to know if God is speaking something to you or someone in your life.

Sitting at a table is often representing spiritual food, or fellowship. What kind of teaching/preaching you are partaking of. The setting was dark, which makes me feel like they were partaking of something ungodly or just plain selfish/wrong.

As their faces changed they were either being affected by what they were partaking of, or their true identity/heart was being revealed. It could be that you or people that you know are involved in something that they shouldn't be. If that is the case, ask God what to do, pray, and seek Godly counsel from some wise person in your church about how to handle it.

The big demon guy may either be a sin that you are participating in, or a sin that is about to tempt you. Maybe something that you have not done, but that is really difficult to turn away from each time. The guy is huge/strong and so is the temptation. But you know it's wrong.

Either God is showing you that you (or it could be someone you know, a friend, family, or acquaintance)... whoever it is could easily have the life painfully crushed out of them if they do not over come this sin/temptation.

You called out to God, and that is the answer.

As we do that, he will intervene. He will send people into our lives, whether they realize it or not, to stop the plans of the enemy. These people were praying and praising God, and they many not even be aware of the attack against you.

Just being in the presence of worship/prayer/the preaching of the Word rattles the enemy and loosens his grip. Maybe the whole dream is to stress the importance of church attendance on a regular basis to keep a person strong and the enemy's grasp weak. Maybe God is wanting someone to attend more than just Sunday mornings or Christmas.

When you sat down next to the people crying it could either mean that you need to align yourself with others that God has set free, who are healing from similar attacks. Or it could be that God is wanting you to join with others to pray and intercede with weeping for people that are in that place of attack/temptation/sin.

I think your dream is one of direction. I think it is an encouragement to get away from from sin/temptation that is threatening to take your very life or your eternal LIFE in Christ. It is definitely stressing the importance of being in the presence of other believers, and of prayer.

Hope this helps,

Amanda

I have an answer to this dream. The demons that you were able to defeat were demons that you never really delt with, and they could not get a good foothold in your life. However, the big demon was your biggest stronghold, or something that you struggle with alot. Well, you could not defeat it alone, however, thanks to some loved ones who were praying for you and fighing on your behalf was able to defeat it. We cannot do much alone!!

I had a nightmare simular to that. I had done something wrong. That night when I went to sleep, satan in red (with a warped, scary face) got into my face and he said "I got you!" I was paralyzed, so I couldn't wake myself up. Just pray about your dreams and have a mature tight knit circle around you of people who are close to the Lord avaliable to you.
