Confront A Sinner

This is a quickie in response to someone who e-mailed me to say that
I'm wrong when I say we are to confront another believer who is trapped
in habitual sin:
"My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know
that whoever brings back a
sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a
multitude of sins." - James 5:19-20 (ESV)
There is no way for someone to bring back a person who has wandered
from the truth without confronting them on some level about their
sins. Remember confronting doesn't mean you get in their face and tell
them they're on a path to hell or that they're ruining their lives
(although it MAY depending on the person and the relationship you have
with them.)
And to the person who e-mailed....you're right that our living the life
is a great way to help point people in the right direction. It's vital
to help bring someone back. However, if you never tell someone they're
on the wrong road they might not realize it. You have to do both.
