Are You Ashamed?

I was preparing to write a long blog today regarding witnessing but then this verse jumped off my screen:
"For I am not ashamed of the
gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who
believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." - Romans 1:16 (ESV)
Are you, as a Christian, ashamed of the gospel? When someone brings up
the subject of Christianity or how the gospel addresses a situation do
you find yourself making excuses for it?
It's a lot easier to make excuses for it than to stand on it but we're
called to make a stand. It's easier to stand if you're bold...and you
can't be bold if you're ashamed of that upon which you're standing.
