Does anybody else fear being a failure? My parents never went to college and now our family is struggling to get by. I love them but dont want to be like them. Does that mean I am greedy and selfish?

that's a difficult question - or the situation behind the question is difficult, actually. maybe God's put the desire to achieve more in you because He has a bigger plan for your life. i don't think it necessarily means you're greedy and selfish. i can't say enough about the power of fasting and prayer when you want clarity in a situation - give it a shot, i pray God will speak to you clearly for an amazing revelation of His plan for your life.

No your not selfish. God gave everyone talents and skills and you just want to use yours. Maybe this would be a way to help your parents out. We must remeber that it was our parents who brought us up and gave us what we need. Now as those children grow older and become self sufficent it is those children who need to help their parents when they are in need. Listen to your heart.
