I've been playing guitar for about a year and a half, and I've been wishing lately that I could play bass guitar too. I just have a few questions:
1) Is playing bass easier than regular guitar?
2) Is it as fun as playing regular guitar?
3) Is it easy to teach yourself?
If someone could give me their opinions, that would be awesome! Thanks!

I play both bass and guitar.
I started on guitar and picked up the bass shortly after. I love playing both of them. Some might disagree but I think that bass is alot easier and more fun to play, but I move around all over the neck.(I make it fun) I have been playing for 12 years and can't read music the notes to me look like upside down golf clubs and meen nothing. I have taught myself though tabs for both guitar and bass and I can play just about anything out thier. I think it's a true gift either you have it or you don't.

Caitlin,
All Amos and Amos music is original and I play most all of the instruments on our recordings, which means I had to learn Bass. I really enjoy creating interesting Bass lines - they really mold the sound. If you have a passion for the instrument, pursue it. A good bass player is hard to find.
