Has anyone heard of Believersoutpost.net 

They are a Christian only donation site, that donates a portion of your shopping proceeds to a Christian charity of your choice, even your own local church, all you have to do is request they be added to the list.  They donate to your choice of charity by searches only too.  They even post the percentage of your donation.  I really like this site because I know that I'm not donating funds to a company or search engine that might also be donating to other groups I don't necessarily agree with.  They are a Christian based donation service only.  There isn't a lot of bells and whistles to the web site, but some people like this, it's very clean and simple to use, they have good stores too.  I'm wondering how long they've been around, because I just came across this, but it looks goods.

I have a request for some really good christian music that my sister and i could sing at our talent show. it has to be christian with good lyrics, duets by two females, and fairly know where i can get the music from a music store to have a band play behind us! thanks so much!

I love music but I've never been a fan of gospel because I thought it was boring and wouldn't appeal to me, but I recently heard a couple songs by Jimmy Needham and now I'm in love!!!! I just realized that Christian music comes in different flavours, lol :)
Could you recommend some good artistes groups that I might like? (I tend to go for the Incubus/John Mayer/Blink 182 sound).

right now im reading a ton of Shakespeare novels and was curious if anybody else is.. I also love to read (and try to write my own) poetry. I just finished 'Romeo & Juliet' and now am in the begining of 'As you like it'. Does anybody young read anymore? I feel kinda dorky!

Hello CCM Community!

Let me start out by saying, I'm blessed to be apart of this CCM community and I pray that all of you are being blessed at this very moment...

I'm sure all of you have heard the old saying "There is safey in numbers"? and I'm hoping that there is HELP as well.

Specifically, Evanescence.  I'll get through that first.  I love the way Amy Lee's, the lead singer, voice sounds, the eerieness to the music (or at least most of the songs), the crunching guitar, the infusion of strings and piano into the rock/metal music, and the occasional choral lines.  My question is; Is it alright to listen to it, me being a Christian?  Some of her lyrics are confusing, others deprecating. 

For an example of her confusing lyrics, take Tourniquet from the CD Fallen.  In it, at the end, she says: "My wounds cry for the grave, My soul cries for deliverance.  Will I be denied Christ, tourniquet, my suicide."  While in the chorus she sings "My God, my tourniquet, return to me salvation."  Now, it sounds like it could be from a curious atheist wondering if they are too far lost to be saved, which we know they aren't.  Ever.  But was irks me is the "tourniquet, my suicide" part.  What is she saying here?  What does "her suicide" have to do with Jesus?

For a deprecating example, take Good Enough from The Open Door.  Again, at the end of the song, she says "And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall.  Pour real life down on me.  'Cause I can't hold on to anything this (possibly should be "that's") good enough.  Am I good enough for you to love me too?"  This makes it sound like she is saying that she finds herself incapable of being good enough for a relationship with a person she truly loves.  Though Good Enough sounds like one of the songs where happiness comes through the songs that usually explore/deal with pain or escaping possibly abusive situations like in Going Under (from Fallen).  I really need to discuss this with people.

What are your thoughts?  I'll have more to add later, with other songs, I promise.

I don't get it? I try to post something under groups. It says I can't, I need to log in. I try to log in and it says I don't exist. I try to register, it says someone with this email adress already exists. So... I go to the "forgot password" section and enter my email address, it says I either don't exist or haven't been activated. Can anyone tell me how to fix this???? PLEASE?????
