A Question About Spanking

They r trying to get a law passed about now spanking your children. They said if you do you will get your kids taken away from you and you will go to jail for a year. Do you guys agree with this?

wel i personaly dont think peopl shud spank their kidz. but gettin their kidz takin away for it and goin to jail.... no i dont agree.

I totally disagree! spanking your kids is differant than beating your kids. you spank because you love them and want to teach them right from wrong. the bible says in proverbs that a father who does not disipline his children HATES them!!!!!!!!

Spanking is not discipline. Its corporal punishment and I don't believe its right. I think God wants us to discipline children with love and patience. They are not dogs. Believe it or not, you can talk to kids, explain why things are right and wrong, and they can actually retain knowledge. Its not necessary to inflict physical pain or cause them to be afraid of you.

That said, I don't think parents should have their kids taken away and be sent to jail for spanking but I think that the "traditional" parenting community should consider this a wake up call and look at how seriously detrimental spanking can be to children.

i believe they should get spanked i mean it is discipline and i was spanked when i was younger and now i have discipline!!! WAKE UP PPL!!!! THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN BEATING AND SPANKING YOUR KIDS!!!!!
i know ppl that have never been spanked in their lives and they are stuck up jerks and they think their way is right!!!!! ON TOP OF EVERYTHING CONGRATS TO THE PARENTS FOR SHOWING YOUR KIDS REAL DISCIPLINE!!! AND NOT SITTING DOWN WITH THEM FOR "a talk" AMERICA IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE!!!!! YOU DONT SPANK YOUR KIDS AND THEY WILL TURN INTO ANOTHER PARIS HILTON OR HILARY CLINTON!! and with that said God bless
