
Super Bowl-winning coach
Tony Dungy was named to
TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World,” a list that also includes the likes of
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice,
Pope Benedict XVI,
Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, and
Queen Elizabeth II.

In July, Tyndale House will publish Dungy’s memoir,
Quiet Strength. Co-written with
Nathan Whitaker, and featuring a foreword by actor
Denzel Washington and Washington’s wife
Pauletta, the book describes Dungy’s upbringing, athletic career, family life, and coaching career, as well as his spiritual journey.
Dungy became the first African-American to coach a Super Bowl champion when the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Chicago Bears, 29-17, in Super Bowl XLI (41) in Miami on February 4, 2007.
