In 1938 my grandmother at the age of 15, married my grandfather he was 21. At that time if a girl became pregnant she really didn’t have too many choices. At several years later and a few children she went to a local church and dedicated her life to Christ. It was at that moment through the grace of God future generations of our families’ lives were also changed. You see she was determined to see that all of her eight kids would regularly attend that small Free Methodist church. Not only did she attend but she also became quite involved in the life of the church. She very much enjoyed the youth groups. She was a Sunday school teacher for many, many years. She also was the bible quiz team coach. I remember the teenagers sitting in the kitchen of that old farm house on many of Sunday afternoons or evenings during the week memorizing verse after verse, getting ready for the next meet. Because of her and Gods loving grace, all eight of her children, most of her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren all are Christians and attend church on a regular basis. It is to her and to God who first loved us that I owe my testimony to. I love the Lord my God with all my heart and soul.
Someone who loves life and sees the glass half full not half empty. Also someone who is honest, caring, compassionate. Someone who knows there are only three important things in this life, God, family and friends. :)
