"Yet all who wander are not lost...."
Hello, My name is Mark and I'm a recovering 'garage band hack' More importantly, I am a husband of one wonderful wife, father of three wonderful kids, a father-type person to three more, brother of one sister (and one brother who is home in heaven), son of well, my parents... One thing that I've told all my kids from day one, besides a personal relationship with God, there is nothing more important than family. That being said, my definition of family is not just who lives in your house but for all of those who are part of your life who God had put there for you to take care of and love on.
My musical experiences have taken me from a church band member, through a couple of bands, a self imposed exile and back to a church band member. Back in the late 80's, my genre was mostly rock, heavy metal and more rock. As I have grown up, my musical taste have evolved. Yes, I'm still a rocker at heart, but where I have been led with my writing is for worshipping God. Yes, you can still worship God and rock out.
My latest project has been with my 'brother from another mutha' Scott. He is the Art Garfunkel (with much better hair) to my Paul Simon. God has given my the lyrics and him the musical ability to make sense of them. It is so much fun to make music again. It is better this time because this music is nothing more than an extension of my walk with God.
I posted some MP3 to the site and I'd appreciate your feedback, good or bad. This is my first wading into the water in this avenue. I've always been a pretty serviceable bass guitarist, but I never thought about song writing until I was challenged by a fellow musician. Anyway, enjoy.....
