Pete came to know the Lord through some very dear friends of ours. He came to hear the gospel while attending a home Bible study they had begun. It began to click one day when he was up at the family cottage. He realized looking out at the beauty that surrounded him, nothing that we see here on earth could have happened by chance, but that there is indeed a Creator & Master-Intelligent Designer. He made a decision then and there to accept Jesus Christ as His personal Savior. Psalm 19 has since become his favorite passage, verses 1-3, "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard."

I came to know the Lord when the gospel was given at a Kids Camp in 1987 or 88. I knew what a christian was and was supposed to be, but I always struggled with putting it into practice, and knowing how exactly to apply it to my life. I started experiencing the Lord in a very personal way after I married my hubby in 1999. Learning the balance between doctrine and practical teaching made my faith come alive to me. The Lord then paved the way for us to come to Cambridge and after many disappointments found the church we are at now. We have both been challenged in many ways, and are thankful for the solid teaching we have had there. We will greatly miss everyone here when we relocate later this year. When all is said and done, with all the busy-ness of life, it can be a struggle, but I am learning to focus on the Lord and not all the distractions along the way :0) Endurance training underway........LOL!!!!!
