Matthew Eldridge is a musician/songwriter currently living in metro Atlanta, GA.
Matthew began his music career over a decade ago playing coffee houses followed by joining a Christian rock band that ministered all over Florida, blessed to play festivals and shows with such national artists as Audio Adrenaline, Newsboys, Jennifer Knapp, Bleach, Rhythm, All Star United, Burlap to Cashmere, Christafari, and many more. After the 9/11 attacks in NY, Matthew's song "Never Be The Same" was selected to be on a benefit CD with national artists 7Mary3 and Peter Frampton.
While it's been a while since Matthew's last recording (two years), a new album is slated to be recorded in the next six months. This album plans to be the most raw CD Matthew's ever produced, with extreme acoustic, earthy overtones, including instruments such as the mandolin, banjo, harmonicas, and violin, stepping Matthew into a new direction in style and performance. Listeners of Norah Jones, Patty Griffin, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews, and others in that genre should enjoy the new sound.
Matthew is a husband, father, full time worship leader and youth pastor
