Matt Gress grew up in and around Baltimore, MD. He's been writing and performing since his early teens. His "day job" is at the Center For Youth Issues in Nashville, TN where he works as a counselor for kids and their families who struggle with everything from violence to drugs to abuse. This comes through in the music as much of the themes revolve around being broken and the healing that can come...something all of us can relate to.
