"CHRISTIAN INSTRUMENTAL FILM MUSIC
"
Band Website: www.katuvmusic.com
KATUV fuses intertwined drum beats with modern rock, orchestral cinematic style music and electronic sounds. It is a powerful blend of Ethnic/World Fusion instrumental music, as well as ethereal vocal tracks with ancient biblically based lyrics. The eclectic Ethnic Fusion music of Katuv is a delicacy palatable for any generation or culture. The sound is both upbeat and meditative. Sometimes energized and uplifting with Ethnic strings, world percussion, electric and acoustic guitars. Other times it is a blend of sweet, soft Scriptural melodies with rich, angelic layered vocals, acoustic guitars, Native American flutes, and Middle Eastern percussion.
Reviewers describe Katuv as "Theatrical", "Dramatic", and "Awesome Movie Soundtracks". Individually we have played in 3 different countries and in various events including television and radio performances in numerous states. My testimony began when I was hit head on with a decision. A decision pertaining to abortion. What does it mean to you? Maybe you’re like I was at one time; thinking that abortion is nothing more than removing some tissue from a women’s body. Or maybe your thoughts are that abortion is a matter that should be left up to the mother, after all it is her body. Or should we keep abortion legal so we can give the right for rape victims to rid of an unwanted baby?
These same ideas and thoughts were the way I believed. Until one dreadful day I walked into an abortion clinic along with a woman who was carrying our child. For many selfish reasons we thought this would be the best plan of action. (After all, I had rationalized the situation with all of the above beliefs). But on that fateful day, there were three of us who entered the abortion clinic and only two of us walked out. But why was I feeling so empty? Why was there such a dark empty void in my life, a void that persisted day in day out? Why was I constantly thinking about what our child would have looked like? These thoughts haunted me for some time. The emptiness, the dark void and the guilt persisted. Until one day I was offered a plan that would not only lift this oppression off of me but would also grant me everlasting life with our Creator. That plan was to accept Jesus into my heart as I asked for forgiveness of all of my wrong doing. And now I have the assurance of not only reuniting with my Lord and Savior, but with my little baby as well.
