Hi! My name is Katie, and I am a student at Greenville College in Illinois. Currently, I am majoring in Biology and Chemistry. (Pre-med) I'm looking into osteopathic medicine. I originally went to Greenville for their CCM program (which I found in my CCM magazine), but I've decided that's not my passion any more. I used to dream of traveling, singing and speaking to teens- conferences or concerts. Maybe someday that will come back to me. Music has always been a huge part of my life. Anyway, I have a couple friends that I like to jam with, as I play guitar and a little bit of piano. We have a blast! I love songwriting, especially those that I can write for my friends and special occasions. I live on a dairy farm with my parents and four younger siblings, the youngest adopted from China a year ago! I think adoption is the coolest and most beautiful thing! (I've got a couple songs on that too....=)

I became a Christian at a very young age and was baptized at age twelve. It wasn't until I was twelve that I truly became serious about living my life for God.
From age twelve through age fifteen, I was a burning flame. I was hungry and eager, the way a new-born believer should be. I came to love church even more than before, and with some wonderful pastor-teachers, I grew in knowledge. But it wasn't easy. A missions trip experience that I had hoped to be life-changing was disappointing. Missions work didn't thrill me as I thought it should. My spiritual life seemed to come to a dry land. I didn't know how God wanted to use me- or how could he use me? The last couple of years have been a struggle, trying to find God's direction (especially in education and career). Through a Bible study group this last summer, I found new hope and learned about "Experiencing God." I have a fire burning in me once again. I've come to realize that my spiritual life isn't always emotional and experience-based. No, it is simply faith. Completely faith!
