"The Last Broadcast"

Band Website: www.myspace.com/indyunited

The Last Broadcast has much to celebrate! Their lives have been saved from despair and salvaged from ruin. God has inspired them to share the same hope they have with the world. That hope is Jesus Christ. Their lives revolve around this truth. See it in their faces, hear it in their songs, and then make it your own.

Say what you will about The Last Broadcast but at least say they have heart. Since their inception in 2002 as “Indy United,” they have seen nearly a dozen different members come and go, including two front men. “We’ve always believed in what we really need to do, I think that’s what has kept us going…” says guitarist Stephen Laing, “even when we had to start the band completely over from scratch.” Through all the trials and hardships this five piece Toledo band has experienced they have clung to the hope they have in Jesus to see them through.

The Last Broadcast brings a variety of mixed sounds including rock, alternative, and pop. If they had to be summed up with one word it would be "passion," says guitarist Stephen Laing. The other members of the band are Keith Collett, who brings a mixture of catchy and passionate vocals to the group, Paul Laing, who brings a wave of technical drumming patterns, Drew Huntington, who loves to crank his guitar amp, and the newest addition Nick Meyers on Bass. Together these guys are working hard to get signed and to be known as the band who never gave up.

In March of 2007 The Last Broadcast entered Fitter, Happier Studio’s to record their new 5 song album with Producer Josh Wheeler. With this album came the announcement of the new band name, “The Last Broadcast,” formerly known as Indy United. This album has been highly anticipated by The Last Broadcast fans near and far as it displays what the band believes to be its best batch yet. A better grasp on song structure and more mature song writing than their 2006 independent release, Break Ties, and 2004 independent release, Better Days Ahead. The Last Broadcast didn’t stop there. With this finished project, they headed down to Nashville for Gospel Music Association week in April to promote it. During there stay in Nashville they were heavily involved in an Indie Boot Camp provided by several major industry organizations. They also met with a few different producers and Industry people who are ready to invest their time & efforts in this dedicated group. They are now planning to produce a full length Album with Producer Allen Salmon in the fall of 2007. Allen plans on shopping the finished product to all the major record labels.

When it’s all said and done, the guys of The Last Broadcast have proven that they can truly write great music that is both meaningful and contagious. “The most important thing to us is that people have a clear opportunity to make the hope that we’ve found theirs.”

The Last Broadcast stands for:

Honesty in relationships and lyrics,

Love in action & words for everyone

Humility because it is the only way to ever have the right perspective on anything. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:34, “He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble”.
