Batesville, Arkansas: pop 9,000. Two chicken plants, a couple of stores, Walmart, a bank and lots of farms and one item we can't figure how it got there: alternative rock band GAZER! Mikal and Zack met in church and realized they liked the same kind of music such as Radiohead and Oasis, so they started writing together and something special happened. Bassist, Justin Hodges was added when Zack, down on his luck moved in with similarly down on his luck Justin. Adversity proved to be creative. The band then rounded out the line up with guitarist, Col. Orvil Rockinbacher(The Kernal) from the band, Pop Core(known for their hits: "you butter love me" and " butter off dead".), and drummer Brenton Little from Meridian, MS. Since then GAZER has played regularly throughout Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, and Tennessee. They have opened for the likes of Evanescence, Everclear, Smile Empty Soul and Blindside. They are embarking on another string of dates having just finished an album of new material which is being released in 07.
