Hi - I'm Gail, A Mom with a career and 2 cubs named Alexander Robert (17) and Christian Daniel (7).
Note: I'm also of the "Christian" faith, (reason for my son's first/middle names).

I recently earned the nickname "Lion" due to the need to "roar" at Florida Public School staff and administration, to advocate/protect my youngest cub Christian.
The public school system in Flroida is awful! -- FL schools have the power (corruption) to destroy even the most stable, smart and confident student/family...
And unless you roar VERY LOUDLY, the schools refuse to listen or address the on-going and very serious problems they have here.

I'm weary from roaring, and after 5 long and stressful years, I'm hoping to relocate back to NY (or someplace up north) soon.

My oldest cub, Alex is a senior in HS. He's in an advanced program called IB (International Baccalaureate) - See http://www.ibo.org/).

Florida has many positive qualities, (beaches, Disney, Universal and other tourist attractions, low cost of housing, warm winters...But the positives do not outweigh the negatives, if you're a working family with children.

I'll post more about "Me" later...when life is a little more normal...

In summary,
I'm older then I want to admit to (over 35)...With a professional, college-educated background and 2 dual careers (RN x 20+ years and Computer Consultant/Administrator, x about 8 years;
Includes web design, SEO and managing internet business functions - for varied clients/websites.

I'm currently self-employed only, (computer/internet field), would like to be in healthcare field too (PT), but have been too busy "roaring" at school officials and protecting/advocating and enjoying my cubs, to be able to hold a job outside the home...

I'm the "head of household - single" - and I am usually very energetic and fun (at least that's what my kids say)...
I usually can find humor in almost any challenging situation. (I haven't found anything to laugh at yet, with the school dilemma; But, I know some day, Christian's success -and seeing the expressions of some of the school staff and kids, who have knocked-him-down so much here, will make me laugh aloud :)

I love traveling, reading, book stores, sports (especially the Mets), church, music, nature, flowers, chocolate, healthy food, alternative/holistic medicine, volunteer work (especially with children), Christian Pop/Rock/Contempary Music and so many other things...

Fortunately, usually no matter what challenges come my way - my priorities remain solid:
1. God
2. Children
3. Career
4. Fun
(Sometimes FUN takes priority over career/finances - LOL).

Please pray for me and my sons, that God will continue to protect and bless us everyday.

Maybe will add "testimonies" later on - I've been a believer and God and Jesus Christ for as long as I can remember (early childhood). While our relationship has had it's ups and downs I still believe (and hope) He's my Best Friend.
