"Righteous Outlook To Triumph Over Negatives"
Band Website: Still in the making
Born in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Southern California, Chief was raised on the streets of Placentia. Thru his up bringing he watched as gang violence soared thru the streets of Placentia between two rival gangs. The Plas and La Jolla.
The railroad tracks up the block from his home were a grim reminder of not only the territorial lines between these two rival gangs, but of the territorial lines that ran between his family members as well. Some of his uncles were high ranked members of both gangs, so not all family get togethers were full of Love. Thru the sometimes violent confusion Chief found piece in listening to his Uncle Jay’s mixed tapes. Uncle Jay was a pretty well known local DJ at the time and introduced him to the Hip Hop Culture at the early age of 11. After years of Break dancing on cardboard in the drive way to his Uncle’s mixes, Chief’s mother moved them out of Placentia to another southern California city named Costa Mesa.
Chief became immediate friends with, now, a fellow artist named Boobytrap who further introduced Chief to the world of expression thru Hip Hop music. In the Rap game since 1996 Chief was the final member to obtain a position in a Clique called the R.O.T.T.O.N. M-pire. The group strives to send a positive message to have a Righteous Outlook To Triumph Over the Negative in their Hip Hop Street music to a world of unbelievers. Chief has had a role in a B rated film called “Caught in the Spray” as well as rocked the Black History Parade for Years in the city of Santa Ana, performed at The House Of Blues in Anaheim, The BB King Club in Universal City, as well as many other local Venues in Southern California. Chief presses to achieve his goals of being the 1st Hip Hop artist on the box of Life Cereal, have his own clothing line, record label, and publishing company to help bring the Gospel to the World.
