Band Website: www.changeofheartband.net
4.6.08 EXCITING NEWS! Our mastered songs from Nashville have arrived and have been send to Texas for the retail packaging of our "Real Clear" album and we are pumped. So pumped that we have posted a sneak preview of two of our 14 songs. The song "Rescue Me" is our lead song on the album and speaks to the battle we all face as Christians to the temptations that constantly hound us. Yet God is always there to pick us up and rescue us! The other song "Don't Give Up" closes our album and speaks to how we as believers need to take God at his word and when things look bad...to Not Give Up!! Our release date for the CD is May 3rd and it will be available on many internet music sites to download. But if you would like the full CD with the packaged artwork (and it is COOL)...contact us and we will get you a copy. That's all for now, God Bless and we will be back on this site soon with updated info!
3.17.08 We have FINALLY finished out mixing of our 14 songs and they have now been sent to Nashville for mastering. After that it's on to Texas for reproduction and packaging. This has been SO REWARDING and A LOT MORE WORK than we had anticipated. But we as a band feel that God deserves our best so we have used that approach on all aspects of our CD. We plan to post a couple tunes on our web site once we get the master back from Nashville. We our planning our "World Premeire CD Party" on May 3rd in Madera, CA. Keep tuned for more info as we get closer to the premiere date.
2.7.08 our band has finally recovered from our recording sessions at the beautiful Hume Lake Music Group studios at Hume Lake, CA (see new pics posted). We were blessed beyond compare by having Brent Lamb as our producer and engineer for this project. Brent grew up in Nashville and started touring at the age of 18. Brent has 5 Gold records and 2 Grammies to his credit along with being the former lead singer for the country group Shenandoah. Brent retired from Nashville in 2004 and moved to Hume Lake to start the Hume Recording Group.....amazing! What a wonderful musician and heart for God Brent has. We are currently in our final mixing of our 14 original songs which will make up our "Real Clear" CD. We hope to have our music ready to post by the end of March so be on the look out for it. We as a band are absolutely "blown away" by God's provision and all that has happened over the past few months. As anyone from our band will tell you, the time at Hume lake was a life changing experience for all of us....To GOD be the Glory!
Change of Heart has been around in one form or another for five years. Change of Heart has opened for artists such as Masada and The Katinas, played at the World Championship IHBA races (International Hot Boat Assoc.) in Phoenix, AZ, as well as playing many worship and priaise events and venues. But we as a band are committed to taking The Word into venues not frequented by normal worship and praise bands by doing dances as well. We have played at Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite National Park, installation events for organizations, and New Years Eve dances. We add select non offensive "dance" tunes to our mix along with "sanctifying" well known dance tunes. For instance, we turned "Play That Funky Music" into "Play That PRAISE Music". In this way we can get The Word out to the masses in a venue that they frequent. It amazes us as a band that we expect the world to come through our church doors at our convenience on a Sunday morning at 9:30 or 10:30 AM. Instead, as Jesus did, we need to go OUT to the world and proclaim His Word. We as a band are trying to accomplish this whenever and wherever we play.
We as a band are a 6 piece "Retro Rock" band that love to rock with a purpose. We do covers of many familiar worship and praise music as well as our own original music. We have just finished the recording 14 original tunes in January at the Hume Music Group Studios at Hume Lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains of CA. We are open and available to do camps, concerts, worship & praise events, and dances!
