Born in Brooklyn, NY, Bryant's beginning musical influences were a mother who was a classically trained vocalist and a father who played for his church in the Virgin Islands. He was brought up singing in church, then in classical arenas, only to delve into urban music and its subsequent culture. He sang with the Brooklyn Boro-Wide Chorus and the All-City Chorus and Concert Choir, performing in Carnegie Hall, the United Nations and Madison Square Garden before turning sixteen. He began a new experience: HIP-HOP. As a junior at Grambling State University, he and a teammate, Easy-G, won the University Rap Battle. He later graduated with a BS in Accounting. He left music alone for a few years until he encountered Lee Ford and Andre Buntin and formed the group In-Vest. The trio perofmed, as a member of the Music Under New York Program, in numerous venues: The Bushnell Theater, Sony Sound Stage, The Charles Perez Show(winning Top Street Performers), The US Tennis Open, Pepsi World Headquarters, The French Institute, What's New(CNBC), The Apollo Theater and a host of others too numerous to list. In March, 2003, he became the Assistant Conductor at Emmanuel Baptist Church, assisting in the training of Total Praise, the 150 voice choir there and led worship under the leadership of Senior Pastor Anthony L. Trufant and Pastor for Music, Frank A. Haye, Jr. He also was the Director for the New Generation Children's Choir and Nu Prayze, the hip-hop ministry at Emmanuel. He was a contributor to the CD "Total Praise Live", writing and rapping on the song, "Don't You Dare Give Up" and singing lead on a remake of the Timothy Wright hit, "Magnify Him". Currently on leave from those responsibilities(except New Generation), Bryant completed coursework, gaining a Masters of Science in Teaching, Mathematics 7-12 in September, 2006 and is poised to release his first CD, J.U.L.Y(Jesus Unconditionally Loves You) this summer. Bryant is married to the lovable and beautiful Debra and has been happily married for three years. He is grateful to God for the inspiration and provision for this project's fruition.
