Yvonne Cobbs-Bey was born Yvonne Cobbs in Oakland, CA: and raised by her parents Pastor A. L. Cobs, Sr. and First Lady, Victoria Cobbs. Yvonne comes from a family devoted to spreading the love of Christ. This value has shaped the life Yvonne in to one of faith, service, and success. Anointed in the ministries of song and medicine; Yvonne has been singing since the age of two, directing choirs since the age of five, a working mother of two and 20 year employee of the City and County san Francisco; continuously contributing to her church family through the Youth Ministry, Health Ministry and Directing all the Choirs of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A. L. Cobbs, Sr.

Yvonne was awarded by the Bay Area Gospel Music Awards, the Director of the Year Award in 1999; and has been featured as singer and songwriter on the 2000 release of “The Anointing” by Pastor A.L. Cobbs, Sr. and the Voices of Harmony; she directed the choir and performed lead vocals on “Stand Still” and “Bread of Heaven”. She is also featured on the 2001 release of “Lord You Are Worthy” by Pastor A. L. Cobbs, Jr. and Inner Jam Records singing the lead vocals on “Stand Still”. In 2005, Yvonne released her first CD titled, “God’s Always There”, and in 2006 she released, “Stand Still”. Yvonne also co-produced, “Can You Hear Me Now”, Pastor A. L. Cobbs, Sr., in 2006. In 2007 she will release her third CD titled, “Use Me”.
Yvonne Cobbs-Bey, Oakland's own shining star in gospel music, launched her independent record label (Bey Daz'l Records), and her sophomore CD "Stand Still".
Stand Still is a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary gospel melodies with soulful appeal.
The multi-talented soloist and founder of Bey Daz'l Records wrote, composed and produced Stand Still. Minister Roland Pollard contributed his masterful talents to co-produce, perform all instruments, record, mix, and master at Jasmine Recording Studios.
