The Whiplash MISSION

WHIPLASH RECORDS is a multimedia company engaging the world with a musical language that leaves its mark. We don't want you to be the same after you listen to our records. This is the real thing. It's not enough for us to be a part of the Christian sub-culture anymore. In everything we do, from the way we treat the artists we work with to the way we've been praying for YOU we're different. We like to think of ourselves as a microcosm of the body of Christ; all parts working together for the good of the whole and we're crazy about it.

You won't find hype lingering around our borders. We've espoused the principles of the counter-culture. We aim to live contrary to what is being shoved down our throats through mega-doses of marketing. We use publicity to let people know we exist, the rest is left for the Holy Spirit to deal with. Our mission is to be obedient to a fault. Nothing more and nothing less. We're not simply a record label either. We are a part of the underground. A revival brewing underneath the surface that cannot be owned and cannot be shaped into a product to sell you. This is the brilliance of the power of God. No one can lay claim. For it to work we must all fall from our self-made towers and give up everything we hold more precious than our relationship with Jesus in the pursuit of the unthinkable: A revolution of Love.

We see an army of artists, local, regional and national linking arms in the fight against evil. Competition is not allowed in our camps. Jesus clearly modeled what we strive for; to be the servant of all. He must increase and we must decrease. We see an army of churches forcing the bar up to new standards of ministry. Forcing artists to bring more than a rider and an attitude. Forcing the creative empire back to it's knees. We see the church and it's creative powers locking in step to the beat of Heaven and forcing change through the mighty forces of Faith, Hope and Love.

We believe there is a life cycle every artist should espouse. A place for creative wisdom and mentoring in every season of life. We've seen the Christian industry largely abandon the great wisdom left lying dormant in the hearts of the artists who pioneered the industry. Wisdom that is invaluable to the furtherance of what God started in the Jesus Movement. We're on a mission to carry that torch forward. We're the new Jesus Movement.

Our artists have been through the fire. They understand ministry and the call on their life to sacrifice whatever they must to bear the name of Christ. They are compelled. They carry a fire of creativity in them that can burn into a soul. We're not looking for big numbers to affirm this, we're looking for lasting change in the lives of those we touch.

So if your heart needs healing, if you're looking for spiritual restoration or a renewing breath of life, if you've become desperate for revival then it's time for a sudden and immediate change of direction. Welcome to the revolution.
