"Praise Him, all ye people Praise Him!!!"

Band Website: www.praisewarrior.com

Steve Gonzalez, born in LA Calif. has now lived in the Santa Barbara area for the last 20 years.

He has always had a passion for music, even at a young age, but unfortunately did not start playing until his late 20's. Steve plays piano and Keyboards with his main keyboard being the Korg Triton Extreme. Mostly self taught and his first project being several Christmas albums (Cassette tapes for those who can remember that far back) which he recorded for his family and friends, and would always include one or two of his own compositions in the mix.

His first song written was an instrumental and he wrote and recorded various New Age, movie, and Jazz style of songs, later he discovered his ability and passion to write lyrics as well.

Most of Steve songs reflect around his passion towards God, and love for Jesus. His latest project was titled "Praise Him" with a few original songs, including "Praise Him" and several worship songs that he loved to sing in church.

Steve is currently working on two different projects, which will be four song demos. One focused on his spiritual side which focus' on God and just going through life with Him.

Which you can listen to here.

The other project on the non spiritual side, but wanting people to know you can write songs without cursing or drinking, partying, drugs, sex and all the things the world has to offer and still be rocking, jamming and have a great time. "Yes she's Dancin" is one of those songs.
Which you can listen to at Steve's blog at: themusicofstevegonzalez.blogspot.com

So what is a Praise Warrior? You have heard of a Prayer Warrior, but what is a Praise Warrior?
Well, with all questions, it's best to go to the source.

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying:
"Praise the LORD,
For His mercy endures forever."
Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

2 Chron 20:21-22 (NKJV)

Think of church or home groups or even your personal time, do you not prepare your heart most of the time in worship and singing to the Lord?
A Praise Warrior is one who brings you before the throne of God to worship Him. Whether it be in good times or bad, happy or sad.
It's pouring out our hearts to God in one of the most powerful ways that He created, and that is in song.
King David wrote hundreds of Psalms (songs), a lot we sing even today in church. These songs glorify the Lord and also teaches us as well. But David is not known for his songs (Psalms) but rather his heart towards God. David put God first, not his musical gift, nor did he dance around to bring glory or attention to himself, but rather to God.
That's what a Praise Warrior does, draws attention to God, not himself/herself.

Sure, the songs may be cool sounding, instruments are rockin and the voice are blaring out, but in the midst of it all you should be praising God and when you walk away, you should still be praising God, good times or bad.

My prayer is that you will come here and start praising the Lord, and when you walk away (or click away) that you are still praising Him and fall more in Love with Jesus as we sing to Him, our Lord and Savior!!!
