Music has always been in the hearts of the members of the sibling group, Judas Feet - the family's home videos prove it – but each sibling was attracted together down different musical avenues. Diana (now 19) developed an angelic voice in school choir,but that and church were pretty much her only venue opportunities. She hated singing along with tracks (and rightfully so), and choir music didn’t quench her thirst for singing.
Tommy (17), taught himself guitar at age 11, motivated by watching his father play and sing songs that he had written. Tommy was convinced that one day he would do the same. And he did. Although he has picked up many other instruments (like piano, mandolin, electric, harmonica, banjo, bass) along the way, the acoustic guitar remains the backbone of Tommy’s musical genius. He and Diana began singing together, backed by the acoustic, at the ages of 12 and 14, sometimes singing originals, sometimes covers, but always to a unique arrangement.
Hannah (15), quietly behind the closed door of her bedroom taught herself acoustic guitar – on a ¾ sized kid guitar. After putting on a living room performance that shocked the family one night, Hannah joined up with her brother and sister in a quest to make real music. Like Tommy, Hannah has also picked up many instruments along the way, including saxophone, piano, and cello.
The trio had talent and passion, but one big musical obstacle to overcome: Silsbee, TX is wonderful for raising a family, but it doesn’t offer many venues for musical performances. Since mom & dad weren’t about to leave town, it was decided that the music had to get recorded. Low on budget and information, Tommy created an inexpensive studio of his own. Soon after some simple recordings, Tommy decided that he had found the next step for his art: digital recording. Still without much real knowledge in the field, he built a recording booth in what’s become known as “the warehouse” (w/the help of good friends) and began capturing the sounds that he and his sisters created.
This is where they are right now…musically putting down the ideas in their minds. You are seeing the beginning - the first songs. The first steps in what they hope will be a life-long journey to spread their music, which carries a story that only the music can tell.
