"Woman of Mystery"
I'm supposed to write something about myself here, which shouldn't be hard since I am a writer ... so here goes.
As I said earlier, I'm a writer. I've written books, including a chick-lit mystery called Hazardous Duty due to hit shelves on October 31, and a non-fiction book called Changed: True Stories of Finding God in Christian music. Check out my blog for more information on those.
I also write a weekly feature for The Chesapeake Clipper, which is a part of the Virginian-Pilot newspaper. I've written articles for magazines such as Brio, Campus Life, Guideposts for Teen, The Plain Truth, The Lookout and Marriage Partnership.
I'm also a speaker. I especially love chatting with writers groups about the craft of wordsmithing. Women's groups are also fun to speak to, especially when the topic includes anything about chocolate, friendship or our awesome privledge of having a relationship with our Creator.
More importantly, I'm married to Scott, a teacher and funny man extraordinaire. As of June, I'm a mother to Eli, whom I personally think is the cutest little boy in the world (I'm not biased, am I?). We live in Virginia with two dogs and a houseplant named Martha.
Up until Eli was born, I led singing each week at my church. I still play the guitar and sing and love to worship God.
When my time isn't taken up with all the things listed above, you can find me sipping coffee and chatting with friends.
