Driving every living individual is the spirit that is within them. That spirit could be lead by the spirit of pride, intensity, integrity, greed, anger, revenge, jealousy, competition, or the very Spirit of The Lord our God. Our spirit man is often disregarded and written off as an intangible mystical force that is just inside us for motivation or an adrenaline rush. But, when we allow our spirit man to be guided and lead by another external spirit, that spirit shapes and changes the very coarse of our lives. And there are only two chief spirits a person can be lead by ultimately, and they are The Creator and the hater. The Creator of every man, woman, boy, and girl is The Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:12-20) and the hater is satan himself, the ruler of darkness (Luke 22:3-4, John 8:44, I Thessalonians 2:18, Revelations 12:12). So, if you’re looking for a rap artist that’s being guided and lead by The Spirit of the most high God and not afraid to speak the Word, look no further, because a man of God with a true vision and a God given talent for keeping it real based on the Truth and the Truth alone, is on the scene. And that man is Adrian D. Sheppard better known as Camouflage. And through Christ Jesus, he is musically “Walkin’ On Water”!

Straight out of Kansas City, Missouri comes Camouflage, a Christian Emcee who is destined to change the way you view the art form of Christian Rap. Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Camouflage has been through a lot. From abuse, gangs, and drugs (sales as well as usage) to grand theft auto, crimes of violence, jail time, and a few near death experiences, and He’s ready to spit the Gospel and share his testimony with the world.

Growing up in the neighborhoods on the east side of K.C.Mo. and K.C.K., Camouflage became up close and personal with the harsh realities of the streets at an early age. But, thanks to various ones throughout his family lineage consisting of Sheppard’s, Nelson’s, Hodge’s, Duckens’s, and Perkins’s, Adrian (Camouflage) was always connected in one way or another, to the church and Gospel music. Like his Grandmother Bertha Sheppard, who ministered the Gospel and distributed candy from her in home candy store in the “Holy Temple” complex, his Biggmama Mildred Hodge, who raised him from a youth and who is actively a member of the NAACP and Phi Delta Kappa and various Christian and educational organizations and was a school teacher for many years, his Aunt Mildred Duckens, who was a known Christian pillar in the Wichita, Kansas communities, his Auntie Norma Nelson, who is a minister in her own right in the sunny state of California, his Grandmother Barbara Perkins, who is a Christian pillar throughout the K.C.K. communities, and his Madea Arra Perkins and her daughters, his infamous Aunties, The Perkins Sisters, who have been singing the devil under the table for years.

So though he was surrounded by and heavily involved in drug sales, drug usage, and gang violence, Camouflage fathered two beautiful children at a young age, named Adrian Jr. and Shampelle, then eventually, met Anna, the lady love of his life. Shortly after, Camouflage, by the grace of God, at age 25, received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, and is now ministering the Gospel himself. His spiritual journey has been nothing short of a constant battle, being tempted to look in every direction but up, he constantly and consistently gives all praise, honor, and glory to God with the fruit of his lips, his rhymes, and most of all, his lifestyle. So when you talk about God's grace and mercy, Camouflage knows it intimately well! “It wasn't me that got me where I am today, God is good! He did it! Thank you, Jesus!", says a joyful Camouflage. These experiences, things, and people all in a nutshell comprise the influence and passion behind his highly anointed music, giving Camouflage's lyrics and beats a raw and uncut, yet, authentic flavor that is rarely found in today's music. Especially, with it’s powerful message of the “Good News” of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.


Camouflage is well on his way to having a very successful ministry, and is preparing to release his critically acclaimed debut album, “Written In Blood”. Camouflage writes his own lyrics that he says are, “Holy Ghost inspired!”. And he does his own music production as well. Camouflage has worked with such artist as Ras, Thi’sL, Strong Tower (as Locc Capone), and MC Till, who is currently featured on a song called “Hey Girl” that will be officially debuted on “Written In Blood”. Camouflage, through Christ Jesus, has established his own ministry, record label, production company, and publishing company, liberating him to answer to God and God alone. This allows him to be available at all times to minister freely with his lovely wife Anna aka Virtuous and his children by his side.

Now that Camouflage has his voice on the scene, the Christian and Main Stream rap game will soon be changed forever. And while yet and still, promoting and ministering “Written In Blood” to the nations, Camouflage already has a compilation, a “Royal Family” project (a group consisting of he and his wife), and his sophomore release in mind staying committed to bringing you the best he has to offer in Jesus’ name! And with the combination of Camouflage's street knowledge and underground savvy, and God blessing the very works of his hands, makes him an unstoppable force to reckon with! Because, there is a major need to receive it and share it as the huge tool of spiritual influence in the world that it is today. Christian Rap is something that is really valuable, and I just want to help change how it’s viewed by the world and the church at large, over shadowing the ignorance of foolish people like David J. Stewart and Craig G. Lewis. Walkin’ On Water Records is here to make a difference in the lives of people out there with a mixture of the Word of God, powerful testimonies, and extremely hot & anointed music. I want the world to know that you can't put Christian Rap in a religious little box.", exclaims Camouflage.

Secondly, I intend for the message in my music to catch the ear gates of the hustlers in the dope trap, the strippers that get naked and do God knows what else for dollar bills all in the name of independent living, and casted out kids who are raising themselves thanks to negligent and GODless parenting and organizations & clubs out there that say they’re bringing the message of hope to the kids when really their only focus is pleasing some unGODly cooperate committee board that doesn’t know the first thing about helping troubled youth. That’s why I’m hitting the streets in the hood with full force see cause that’s where I came from! But, I don’t forget about the burbs either because they also have problems that need the answer that is Jesus. I want everybody to know that there are a gang of Christian artist out there who are far from wack! Cats the world can relate to and receive from on a different level that the religious and the traditional stray from because they don’t want anybody to know that their boo-boo stinks just like everybody else’s. I’m about real life expressed through music without cussing everybody out, killing everybody on the track, disrespecting other artists or our beautiful sisters out there, or training up our shorties to be penitentiary cell occupants and cemetery fillers. I make music you can feel that God is pleased with.”, spills Camouflage.
