Powerful and melodic are two words that can be used to describe the sound of producer,singer/songwriter BaTrina Davis. This Houston, TX native is the product of tremedous effort hewn from her life experience as a Mother, Wife, Sister and Musician. In tune with the rhythm of her own spirit, BaTrina recreates her personal experiences with God every time she sings.
BaTrina's musical experience as a soloist and background vocalist has exposed her to the highest levels of Gospel music. Her experiences as a soloist include: Back-to-back first place finishes in the Hal Jackson Talented Teen Competition - resulting in a performance at the world- renowned Apollo Theatre in New York City, A 2002 first place finish in the Houston Idol Competition held by Fox and 104KRBE radio station resulting in her opening for Destiny's Child and Nick Carter of the Back Street Boys at the KRBE Jingle Jam Concert.
As a background vocalist BaTrina toured from 1994-2003 with gospel artist Kim Burrell. Additional credits include: Martha Munizzi at the 2005 Stellar Awards, the legendary Oliver Scott, former member of the R&B group The Gap Band, trombonist Frank Roots Lacy, and she has performed on stage with Chaka Khan, Fred Hammond, Richard Smallwood, Donald Lawrence and many others.
While the general public waits to define who BaTrina Davis is, the question will soon be answered with her solo gospel debut - " The Rocks Will Cry Out".
