As Is began in the fall of 2003 and had it's origin as the back-up band for the Emmanuel Community Church Praise and Worship Team. God then began providing new opportunities for the band to play more progressive Christian Rock and move beyond the walls of the church. So why As Is? It was decided to use the name As Is based on a sermon series that Pastor Craig began to preach on the very day the band debuted. The term As Is refers to the condition in which God will accept each and every one of us. No matter how damaged, broken, or beaten up we are, He is always there with outstretched arms. There is no condition from which our Creator cannot restore us and bless us with eternal life. All it takes is for us to come before Him and acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, accept our brokenness, and ask for His forgiveness for our mistakes. From that point on, God begins to transform us because He loves us too much to leave us where we are. God only knows what path He has chosen for As Is, but they continue to pray for guidance and His blessings in all that they do. The band would like to thank all those who have positively supported and uplifted them since they began this new chapter in serving the Lord together.
