Why [2] Miles?
The name [2] Miles was taken from Matthew 5:40-42, which reads:
"If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." (NIV)
The name was chosen to serve as a constant reminder that the message, the fabric of praise and worship, should be interwoven in every part of our lives. After the instruments are silenced, the songs have been sung, the message spoken and we find ourselves in our daily routine during the week, we are called to go the extra mile. The extra mile in serving, the extra mile of compassion and the extra mile in showing how the unconditional love of God can change hearts.
